Valentyna Samus

Jungian analyst from Ukraine and a member of both the Lithuanian and Ukrainian Societies for Analytical Psychology. She has a private practice in Ukraine working with adolescents and adults. She is the author and facilitator of numerous training sessions and educational programmes for psychologists. Valentyna works actively to develop the Ukrainian Jungian community by translating and publishing Jungian texts, organising conferences and grassroots activism programmes. Valentyna is also an experienced supervisor and social project manager, participating in the development of programmes of sexual education for schools and well as rehabilitation programmes for those dependent on drugs and alcohol. At the onset of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, when she was President of the IAAP Developing Group in Ukraine, Valentyna co-ordinated international efforts. Her analytic work focuses on the themes of the body and the integration of Jungian theory with contemporary neurological research.
